Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all reservations made at Blackwoods, located at Nira Caledonia, 6 Gloucester Place, Edinburgh, EH3 6EF.

By making a reservation, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Confirmation: Your reservation is confirmed once you have received a confirmation email or message from us or one of our booking partners.
Holding Time: We will hold your table for 15 minutes after your reserved time. If you are running later, please contact us directly. After 15 minutes, we may release the table to other guests.
Card Details: For certain reservations, particularly for larger groups or during peak periods, we may require credit or debit card details to secure your booking. These details are held securely by our payment processor. No charge is made to the card unless the cancellation policy is not met.

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel your reservation.
For bookings where card details were required, a cancellation fee may be charged if the cancellation is made with less than 24 hours' notice, or in the event of a no-show. The specific fee will be stated at the time of booking.

Any reservation for 8 or more guests is considered a group booking.
Group bookings may be subject to different cancellation policies and may require a deposit to confirm. These terms will be communicated to you at the time of booking.

Please inform us of any dietary requirements or allergies at the time of booking.
While we take every precaution to prevent cross-contamination, please be aware that our kitchen handles all major allergens, and we cannot guarantee that any dish will be completely free from allergenic ingredients.

We ask that all guests conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful to other diners and our staff.
We reserve the right to refuse service or ask any person or group to leave if their behaviour is deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or abusive. In such cases, no refund for any deposits paid will be due.

Blackwoods is not liable for the loss or damage of any personal belongings brought onto the premises.

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with the Nira Caledonia Privacy Policy. A copy of this is available on our website.

These terms and conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
